My band's original song featuring Eleanor Forte

So my band and I decided to try and write an original song with Eleanor Forte as our main singer.
I think it worked our pretty nice. It was a fun process. I cannot name the genre of the song though.
What do you think about the song?

The song kicks butt.

But as with all forte tunes I hear here the vocal mid needs to be scooped as Eleonore out of the box has way too much mid and no high end so without words (and they should not be needed) . I can’t understand one word . It it possibly not Engish?

Cut out the mid 800-1k and crank the 3-4k SSSSo the can hear her ESSSSes and TEEES.

Thank you for the feedback. I will try to scoop her mids and mix her voice differently in the next one. Its a learning curve fore sure. but a fun one

Song itself is great, kind of reminds me of Sisters of Mercy.

Agree with @bitman, the voice itself is so mids-heavy you have had to mix it much too loudly to make its words legible. I’d recommend EQ as he mentioned, and also some compression or limiting on the voice track (only) to let you bring up its apparent loudness without raising its levels too much in relation to the rest of the mix.

very much a symphonic/goth metal vein.
I like the song, but she is utterly lost in your mix, and she feels like she’s lagging behind the rhythm
