So there are two rendering modes in the editor, “Prefer Speed” and “Prefer Quality”. However, I can barely tell the difference between files rendered with both! Would anyone care to tell me what the differences are between the two?
“Prefer speed” will try to render faster, at the cost of some quality.
“Prefer quality” means you may experience more interruptions while editing (such as waiting longer after adjusting a pitch parameter before the line adjusts to match it).
If your computer is sufficiently powerful you may not see any difference between the two modes (because it’s already completing the rendering job fast enough that it doesn’t need to sacrifice quality to perform adequately). Generally you want to keep “prefer quality” selected unless you encounter sluggish performance.
