Unable to open file select dialog on Linux

The file select dialog doesn’t open on (Arch) Linux (‘Open…’, ‘Import…’ ‘Save As…’, etc). I have been able to use SynthV through some workarounds, but it’s still an annoying bug.

When running SynthV through the command line, it throws this message:

(zenity:71189): Gtk-WARNING **: 11:42:57.257: Can't open portal file chooser: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.portal.Error.InvalidArgument: invalid filter: invalid glob pattern

Dunno if it’s related.
I should have all necessary package installed.

This happens on 1.7.0 and 1.8.0b, and has been happening for a several more versions before.

It seems like something related to xdg-desktop-portal.

Installing xdg-desktop-portal-gtk & xdg-desktop-portal may helps; if you’re on KDE Plasma then xdg-desktop-portal-kde too, also reinstall zenity for safe measure.

Those packages are installed and reinstalling doesn’t change anything

I had GTK_USE_PORTAL=1 set in my environment variables, which prevented the dialog from opening for some reason.
