If I change volume in the negative direction, I always have to compensate by increasing the loudness parameter. I believe there is some kind of bug around volume when lowering tension below 0. The volume is not affected when raising tension.
I think if nothing else, they should at least patch this by making the loudness/volume rise in a linear relation to tension decreasing (below tension level 0). That would help.
From my memory, I recall that earlier versions of Synthesizer V did not have this issue.
