Can I change the interface colors?

Any way I could change the UI colors to a higher contrast or even reverse them to dark on white? This gray on gray interface is hurting my eyes after a while.

Currently there is no ability to customize the interface colors or use alternate themes. It really is one of the most overdue improvements at this point.
