Is Love Still Waiting (Original Track with Solaria)

Hi all,

A new user of the SynthesizerV here! Honestly, since I found this program it’s been truly mind blowing and not an understatement to say that it’s changed my musical life.

Here’s a song I’ve written in the last few weeks using Solaria v108. I’d originally intended to use a male voice, however the English masculine voice databases (Kevin/Jun/Ninezero etc) didn’t have quite the timbre I was after and the realism of Solaria is just on another level, so she won the gig:

Vocal arrangement:
• A single lead track for the verses (largely in Passionate mode)
• Stereo harmony BVs added in the pre chorus
• Triple tracked lead in the choruses (largely in Power mode) - so incredible how you can generate a vocal double track in seconds with enough subtle timbral and pitch variances that it doesn’t cause phase issues!
• Wide stereo harmony backing vocal in the choruses also

I hope you enjoy it and would love to know what you think

Best regards,

Benji

Love it! Real road trip synth. I get the impression that youre a The Midnight fan as well?

I Was also blown away with this tool and i think one of my biggest obstacles has been to accept a less is more approach. in many circumstances I previously would go all in to cover up the fact that my vocalist wasn’t always exactly on point with my visions. But now I can design it in meticulous detail and also front the vocals more and not hide them behind instrumentals because they lacked the potency to be in the front. I think you’re finding the balance faster than I did! :notes:

Thank you! Yes I am a Midnight fan indeed, they’re one of my favourite artists! If Tyler would lend his voice to creating a new database I think I’d be sorted haha

Yeah, there’s definitely not as much production needed in order to achieve a great sound. With traditional vocal recordings I would usually likewise go all in with tracking multiple takes, tuning, effects and the usual tricks to cover up all the little inadequacies, but no longer needed. Although I still feel that I haven’t totally got my head around all the features of the program!

Agree! I was just so happy when i bought the studio version and realised how good the result comes just straight out the box. I was playing with the Mai free version first and couldn’t understand how my results differed so much from what other made. Then i bought the full edition and Solaria and… yeah you know  Im having a fun time making and testing different choirs and wails now instead of dreary detail editing of someone mispronouncing a P so it sounds like a B and having to go through the material to find a proper P to cut in :face_with_peeking_eye:

I found out about the upcoming male voice Saros the other day here on the forum and am already waiting impatiently for it so i can consider my next production escapade. It will probably work for what you intended too.

A very good song, my kind of music :slightly_smiling_face:

Your song filled my listening room with its breadth that I was able to recognize the subtle details of your song. Beautifully lived moments of listening.

Love it. MY kind of Song too. GREAT Chord sequence and loads of Pedal-Point - it really DRIVES along . . . .
Vocal treatments suits it ABSOLUTELY . .
Well Done!

Thank you everyone for the kind comments! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Yeah I’m really looking forward to the release of Saros. No doubt with how good Eclipsed Sounds are it’ll definitely be on the level of Solaria and Asterian, can’t wait!
