I’ve been studying and playing music since the late 1960s, with a particular love for the popular songs of the 1920s through the 1960s, and their jazz variations. This is the first of two posts - attempts at composing and producing in that style, using the Studio One DAW, and Synth V, starring Kevin. Other essential VSTs were Scaler2, EZKeys, Band-in-a-Box, and Native Instruments’ Kontakt.
“Campari!” is an up-tempo love song, inspired by the music of Dean Martin & Bobby Darin and the New York radio station WNEW-AM in the 1960s.
