Interesting instrumentation, and unusual chord progression. I like it. Energy really picks up in the last minute, and I think it could use a little more of this earlier on. I don’t think its the arrangement though - I think that’s fine. Maybe the mix has a little too much space (too wide) and not enough bite for the style. As it fills out in the last chorus, it kind of fills in the gaps, and that’s why it feels like it has a lot more energy. Not really sure.

Cool song though.

Yes, I think especially after I added the backing vocals in the last chorus it sounded more energetic, maybe I should have included them earlier, too!
